  3.                        The PC-SIG Library 13th Edition

  5.                   Electronic Bulletin Board System License
  6.  
  7.     The use of The PC-SIG Library on CD-ROM on electronic bulletin board
  8.     systems (BBS) is prohibited without a license from PC-SIG, Inc.  This
  9.     License Agreement is between PC-SIG, Inc. and the BBS operator whose
  10.     signature appears at the end of this Agreement.  In return for the
  11.     limited right to use The PC-SIG Library, the BBS Licensee agrees to
  12.     the provisions of this License.  This Agreement allows the BBS Licensee
  13.     to use The PC-SIG Library for the period of ONE YEAR from the date of
  14.     this License, or until the next PC-SIG upgrade to the CD-ROM.

  16.     1.    PC-SIG's copyright covers the research, editing,
  17.           organization and compilation aspects of PC-SIG Library
  18.           diskettes and CD-ROMs as well as any individual programs or
  19.           descriptive materials which are the original creation of
  20.           PC-SIG. Unless otherwise specified, PC-SIG does not claim
  21.           literary rights in individual programs which have been
  22.           licensed for use.

  24.     2.    This License Agreement allows the BBS Licensee to use
  25.           PC-SIG's name, diskette numbering system and corresponding
  26.           titles, and PC-SIG developed text files including, but not
  27.           limited to, diskette descriptions, and BBS specific files.

  29.     3.    BBS Licensee agrees to respect the author's copyright
  30.           notices on the Shareware software and PC-SIG's copyrights
  31.           and trademarks. PC-SIG's copyrighted materials include the
  32.           directory on disk, all printed directories and encyclopedias, 
  33.           PC-SIG Hotsheet, and Shareware Magazine.

  35.     4.    The BBS Licensee must have the capability, and agree, to
  36.           deny access to any program, file, or diskette on their BBS
  37.           system that has been withdrawn from The PC-SIG Library.
  38.           Notification of program, file, or diskette withdrawal from
  39.           The PC-SIG Library will be published in "Shareware Magazine".
  40.           It is the responsibility of the BBS Licensee to monitor the
  41.           above publication and to maintain their BBS according to the
  42.           current distribution status as reflected in those publications.

  44.     5.    BBS Licensee agrees to display the PC-SIG Introduction
  45.           Screen prior to the initial downloading of software by each
  46.           user. The PC-SIG Introduction screen will be supplied in
  47.           ANSI format on the CD-ROM.

  49.     6.    BBS Licensee agrees not to download files and/or programs from a
  50.           PC-SIG diskette or The PC-SIG Library on CD-ROM disc with
  51.           the intent to sell the copy. Downloading is defined as the
  52.           process of copying or duplicating a PC-SIG Library diskette
  53.           or The PC-SIG Library on CD-ROM disc onto other media,
  54.           including, but not limited to, diskettes, hard drives,
  55.           magnetic tape or optical disc, for the intentional or
  56.           unintentional purposes of sales, distribution or financial
  57.           gain.

  62.     7.    BBS Licensee agrees not to charge any specific fees for
  63.           downloading and/or viewing any portion of The PC-SIG Library.
  64.           BBS Licensee may, as a whole, restrict access to all the
  65.           CD-ROMs on the BBS to subscribing members only.
  66.  
  67.     8.    Because of the varying types of hardware and software for
  68.           BBS systems, PC-SIG does not guarantee the compatibility of
  69.           The PC-SIG Library on CD-ROM with any particular BBS system.

  71.     9.    If Licensee violates any provisions of this Agreement,
  72.           PC-SIG can terminate this License and continued violations
  73.           will lead to subsequent legal action by PC-SIG, for violation
  74.           of PC-SIG's License, registered trademark(s) and/or copyright(s).

  76.     10.   Should legal action result between PC-SIG and its Licensee
  77.           due to the violation of, or concerning, any of the
  78.           provisions of this Agreement, the Licensee shall be
  79.           responsible for all attorneys fees and related legal
  80.           expenses, including, but not limited to, loss of business and
  81.           profit to PC-SIG, Inc. Should litigation be necessary, any
  82.           action will be filed in the County of Santa Clara, State of
  83.           California.

  85.     11.   The PC-SIG Library is not licensed for use on BBS systems
  86.           operating outside the USA.  For other countries, contact PC-SIG
  87.           for License requirements.
  88.  
  89.     12.   This License shall be construed under the laws of the State
  90.           of California. This Agreement sets forth the understanding
  91.           between PC-SIG and the BBS Licensee; it may be changed or
  92.           modified only in writing and must be signed by the Licensee.
